Service Locations
Providence Service Corporation (“Providence”) was initially formed as a merger of two providers of behavioral health care for children and families in Tucson, Arizona. The merger took place in 1997, when a provider of home-based therapy services joined forces with a case management provider that was one of Pima County's original children's provider networks. The partnering of these two agencies created a powerful union of clinical and case management strength, experience, and innovation.
Providence offers programs under a decentralized, local model. We operate in conjunction with local and regional providers who are part of the communities they serve. Our service professionals have developed collaborative relationships with community resources and local agencies, resulting in a reputation for providing cost effective, quality care for our clients. In all areas we offer community-based services as an alternative to residential or institutional care.
Since the original merger, Providence and its subsidiaries have provided government sponsored social services directly or indirectly through managed entities. Since we began operations in 1997 the Providence network of providers has grown from serving 1,300 clients in a single state to over 70,000 clients served from 318 locations in 35 states and the District of Columbia as of June 30, 2007. Each area provides an array of services in response to locally identified needs. |
