WCG International HR Solutions (WCG) is an award-winning, internationally recognized leader in customized workforce, consulting and technology solutions based in Victoria, British Columbia. WCG has been providing customized workforce development solutions to clients with multiple barriers to employment for over a decade. This broad demographic includes persons with disabilities, Aboriginal peoples, single parents, youth, immigrants and older workers. Since 1995, WCG has helped clients in British Columbia and Ontario to attain over 72,000 job placements.

JobWave
JobWave has helped income assistance recipients to achieve 65,000 job placements, making it one of Canada’s most successful employment programs.

JobWave offers participants:

  • needs assessments and the development of targeted, individualized action plans
  • résumé writing, employment and life skills workshops, interview tips and career counseling
  • a marketing team that generates job leads for an exclusive job bank
  • financial supports for items related to the job search
  • ongoing follow-up support to ensure job retention

JobWave has been delivered in over 200 communities since 2000, and is currently offered under the framework of the BC Employment Program. In partnership with The British Columbia Chamber of Commerce, local chambers, community agencies, the provincial government and the business sector, JobWave helps thousands of British Columbian’s reach their employment potential every year.

Triumph Vocational Services
Triumph has provided successful vocational rehabilitation services to persons with disabilities in British Columbia since 2002. The program supports people with physical, mental and developmental disabilities to achieve their vocational potential.

At Triumph, clients work one-on-one with a Vocational Coach to identify their goals and develop an individualized plan to achieve them. Services include:

  • disability management and employment readiness workshops
  • assertiveness training
  • volunteer and paid job placements
  • career exploration and work experience
  • communication skills training
  • comprehensive skills assessments
  • disability supports

Triumph has supported clients in securing over 2,600 paid, volunteer and work experience placements since 2002.

CanVet

WCG International Ltd. has partnered with two other well-respected vocational rehabilitation service providers, March of Dimes Canada and Innovative Rehabilitation Consultants (IRC), to form a joint venture partnership to deliver the CanVet Vocational Rehabilitation Services program. These services provide comprehensive, individualized, reasonable and cost-effective measures to eligible Veterans Affairs Canada clients to assist them to prepare for suitable and gainful civilian employment and include the following:

  • initial vocational assessment;
  • vocational evaluation;
  • individualized vocational rehabilitation planning;
  • job readiness;
  • job search preparation;
  • job development and placement; and
  • On-the-job follow up, evaluation and support.

These services are offered in both English and French in every community across Canada, as well as to eligible clients living in other countries and were contracted by the Government of Canada to provide the vocational component of Veterans Affairs Canada’s broader Rehabilitation Program. CanVet started delivering these services on April 15, 2009 to disabled Canadian Forces (CF) Veterans who need support to re-enter civilian life.

EmployMeBC (EMBC)

EMBC is a labour market pilot project dedicated to facilitating successful job matches between unemployed people and small businesses in British Columbia. Offered in partnership with the British Columbia Chamber of Commerce and local, community-based Chambers, EMBC caters to groups of people under-represented in the labour market, and has been designed to provide employment services to all unemployed individuals not eligible for participation in the JobWave and Triumph programs.

EmployMeBC offers a full range of career exploration, job search skills, and assessment services to assist participants in getting back to work as quickly as possible.
