In Florida, Providence offers services through its wholly owned subsidiaries, Family Preservation Services of Florida, Inc., Providence Community Corrections, Inc., and A to Z In-Home Tutoring www.atoztutoring.com (“A to Z”). Providence also provides management services to Camelot Community Care, Inc. , and Intervention Services, Inc.
Family Preservation Services of Florida, Inc. (“FPS of Florida”) began providing services in 1998 and today offers a range of home- and community-based services. The mission of FPS of Florida is to collaborate with and support community agencies in their efforts to reduce out of home placement, strengthen families and provide youth opportunities to develop skills, enabling them to become productive, contributing members of their communities.

FPS of Florida is a Medicaid provider and a licensed Child Placing Agency, and is accredited by the Council on Accreditation (COA). Programs in Florida include Therapeutic Foster Care, In-home services, targeted Case Management, psychiatric services and outpatient therapy. FPS of Florida participates in local privatization efforts as a Case Management organization in four districts providing child welfare services.
FPS of Florida also offers an innovative adolescent substance abuse program called the Seven Challenges©. This science-based program targets adolescents between the ages of 12-17 who are at risk for substance abuse indicated by poor school attendance and achievement, school dropout, association with anti-social and gang related peers, legal involvement and/or conduct disorder. The program may be home-based and includes school based activities. The overall service objective of the program is to prevent substance use and provide early intervention services to those adolescents who may be experimenting with alcohol and/or drugs.
FPS of Florida is dedicated to offering innovative and effective community services to assist in the support and preservation of families and all of our services seek to meet this goal.
Camelot Community Care, Inc. began providing services to children and families in Florida in the early 1980’s and has grown to be a leading provider of both Mental Health and Child Welfare services in the state. The State of Florida has implemented an initiative to privatize child welfare services and Camelot Community Care, Inc. has taken a leadership role in this effort. In late 2003, Camelot Community Care, Inc. was awarded a contract from the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) as the lead agency in DCF’s District 8 (Lee, Collier, Charlotte, Hendry, and Glades counties), dba Children’s Network of Southwest Florida, LLC. Camelot Community Care, Inc. is also involved in the privatization efforts of five additional districts.
Camelot Community Care, Inc. is also a leading provider of behavioral health services to both children and adults throughout the state of Florida. Camelot Community Care, Inc. is a Medicaid provider and holds numerous contracts to provide behavioral health services, as well as maintaining licensure as a Child Placing Agency. In Florida we offer Therapeutic Foster Care, In Home Behavioral Health Services, Case Management, Medication Management, and outpatient care.
Intervention Services, Inc. (“ISI”) began providing mental health services based in the principles of behavior analysis in 1994 and has grown to be a leading provider in central Florida offering a continuum of services for children and families. Currently, ISI provides a range of community based services including In Home and in-school counseling, therapeutic and traditional foster care, adoptions, independent living and child welfare Case Management to over 3,000 children and families annually. ISI has developed a reputation as an innovative treatment organization that achieves success in maintaining children in a community based setting. In addition, ISI offers continuing education for professionals in the areas of counseling and behavior analysis. ISI is accredited by the Council On Accreditation for Children and Families (COA).
The strength of experience, programming and resources has allowed Providence and the companies we manage in Florida to become leaders in the privatization efforts of Florida and in behavioral health care for children and families.
Providence Community Corrections, Inc. (“PCC”) offers monitoring and supervision of those sentenced to probation, provision of effective rehabilitative services, and accurate collection and disbursement of court-ordered fines, fees and restitution.
Probation staff serving local counties and municipalities must anticipate needs, understand the underlying objectives and concerns of the local citizens, and adapt to changing requirements. A collaborative relationship between PCC and the counties and municipalities we serve produces the most beneficial outcomes for the offender and ultimately for the community. We have extensive experience in presenting our customers with exceptional service, and our capabilities are proven and our systems are in place. We consistently meet and exceed the Court’s expectations for private probation services.
Some of the concerns of the courts and communities include: Probation monitoring and supervision; counseling and employment assistance; enforcement of judicial mandates; recidivism; and the collection of fines, fees, and restitution. PCC has demonstrated accountability and dependable performance through:
- Case management approaches that are consistent with probationer needs and risks, and that support compliance to Court orders
- Provision of well-trained, professional staff, including bi-lingual staff where needed
- Responsible community service monitoring and reporting
- Accurate, timely, flexible reporting to the Court
- Exceptional collections of fines, fees and restitution
PCC offers this wide range of services designed for the diversity of communities served, and tailors each program to local needs.
A to Z In-Home Tutoring (“A to Z”) offers tailored tutoring in the school and community. Individualized programs are tailored to the unique needs of each child through an innovative pre-testing system. Students quickly become eager learners and are willing to try harder in subject areas that have become a source of frustration.
A to Z was founded in Nashville, TN and hires local certified teachers and Associate’s degreed professionals throughout the United States to work with local kids. A to Z’s corporate offices are located in Brentwood, TN.
