Family Preservation Services, Inc. has partnered with Virginia Tech University to evaluate Virginia's statewide school-based Therapeutic Day Treatment (TDT) program. The first stage of this ongoing evaluation examined the teachers’ perceptions of the program. Two hundred and ninety four teachers from 15 different school districts with TDT counselors in their classrooms participated in the survey. One of the important findings was "Most of the teachers indicated that the students’ academic performance, behavior, and social skills improved because of the TDT program."
